1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BeGenius ("begeni.us", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BeGenius is an online platform offering logic puzzles including Sudoku, Kakuro, Hitori, Hashi, Slitherlink, KenKen, Nurikabe, Shikaku, and other puzzle types. The Service includes daily puzzles, progress tracking, achievements, and leaderboards.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account using Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.

4. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, solvers, or automated software to solve puzzles or gain an unfair advantage. This includes but is not limited to using AI chatbots, puzzle-solving algorithms, browser extensions, or any automated means to derive solutions.
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate the scoring, timing, streak, or leaderboard systems in any way.
  • Share solutions publicly in a manner that spoils the daily puzzle for others before the day ends.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service or extract data.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of your scores from leaderboards, and forfeiture of achievements and streaks.

5. Intellectual Property

All puzzles, puzzle designs, algorithms, content, and branding on BeGenius are the property of BeGenius or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

6. User Content

Your puzzle progress, times, and statistics are stored on our servers. You retain no intellectual property rights over game data generated through normal use of the Service.

7. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeGenius shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
